Meet Naseem Zubi

For Pueblo County Assessor

My name is Naseem Zubi, and my family chose to make Pueblo County our home because we believe in this community: its people, its work ethic, and its future. My wife works for the City of Pueblo, my daughter attends public schools, and I have spent the last four years serving you as an Appraisal Supervisor at the Pueblo County Assessor's Office. Pueblo adopted us, and we are grateful every day for that.

I am running for Pueblo County Assessor because I believe this office deserves experienced, professional leadership, and I have spent twenty years building exactly that.
I began my career appraising houses and spent fifteen years as a public servant in San Bernardino County, California, the largest county by area in the United States. During those years, I developed expertise across every property type: land, residential, commercial, industrial, special use, and major properties. I represented the county in appeal hearings before the Board of Equalization, completed the county's Management and Leadership Academy, and taught a course on assessing and prorating fire-damaged properties.

For the past four years, I have served at the Pueblo County Assessor's Office, where I currently supervise the commercial appraisal division. I work directly with taxpayers in the field, by phone, and in the office every day. I was part of the leadership team that helped Assessor Frank Beltran earn the 2025 Colorado Assessors' Association Assessor of the Year award, and I am honored to have earned his endorsement to succeed him.
The County Assessor's job is not a political one; it is an administrative and technical one. My job is to make sure every property in Pueblo County is valued accurately, fairly, and professionally. No more, no less. That is what I have spent twenty years learning to do, and that is what I will bring to this office every single day.

I am ready on day one, and I hope to earn your vote on November 3rd, 2026.
